This is a fully private 1-to-1 training day with Jamie, designed to take you from complete beginner to accredited gel technician in a single day. No groups, no waiting around — just focused, practical training built entirely around you and your pace.
You'll work on real hands throughout the day, covering everything from nail anatomy and prep through to gel application, finishing, and removal. By the end of the day you'll have the technique, the confidence, and the certificate to start charging for your work.
What's included: full day of private training with Jamie, pre-course theory materials, ABT-accredited certificate, and ongoing post-course support.
Perfect for complete beginners, career changers, and anyone who's been self-teaching and wants a professional qualification to back it up.
STARTER KIT INCLUDED
What to bring Just yourself. All tools, products, and materials are provided on the day. Wear comfortable clothing and avoid long or loose sleeves — you'll be working with your hands throughout.
Before your course Your pre-course theory materials will be sent to you by email once your booking is confirmed. Please complete these before your training day — it means we can spend the full day on practical, hands-on work with Jamie rather than covering theory in the room.
What to expect on the day Your sessions runs from 10:00 am to approximately 4:00 pm with a lunch break. You'll be working on model and real hands throughout — Jamie will guide you through every step at your own pace. There are no other students in the room; this is entirely private time with Jamie.

Cancellation policy Cancellations made more than 14 days before your course date: your deposit is retained and you may rebook for a future available date at no extra charge. Cancellations within 14 days of your course date: the full course fee is retained. In the unlikely event that Jamie needs to cancel, you will be offered a full refund or a priority rebook — your choice.

All of our accredited courses are fully accredited by ABT. Once you complete your course, you will be qualified to obtain insurance and work on real paying clients. Any add on workshops or Masterclasses are available once your foundation qualification is in place, and you will receive a certificate of completion for each.
We recommend getting insured before you start working on clients. ABT accreditation is accepted by all major beauty insurance providers. We are happy to point you in the right direction when you complete your course.
Once qualified, you can purchase professional products using your ABT certificate to set up a trade account with your preferred supplier. Jamie will give guidance on recommended brands and where to source them on the day.
Training takes place at JEM Studios Billericay, CM12 9DZ. Parking is available behind the salon. Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes before your start time.
Support does not stop when you leave. You will have continued access to Jamie and the JEM team after your course day for any questions as you start out. You will also be added to our private student community to connect with other JEM Academy graduates.
